About me

This site is about overcoming obstacles and flourishing. It is about casting off your pea-sized dreams and making yourself bigger in the world. It is about trauma and pain and meaning and joy. It is about reaching the halfway point in your life and taking an honest look backwards and a courageous leap forward.

Or, at least, I hope this is what it will be about. I am a blogging newborn, all big-eyed and chubby. I’m used to maintaining a cautious distance, rather than freely putting myself out there.

So, why am I doing this? Because I need to experience something extraordinary. Because I want accountability on my journey. Because I need ways to be creative. Because I want to share the incredible wisdom that has been shared with me, that has helped me overcome trauma and start again…

…Wait, wait, what? Start again? I never even started at all. I’ve not even resolved a small portion of my personal trauma iceberg! I’m a stunted, unfulfilled, middle-aged bag wanting for a bit of air, at my worst. A creative, wounded-trier, adventure-seeker at my best. I’m doing okay but I want better. This blog will be a record of my success or failure in finding better, whatever that might be. Join me if you want, you’re really very welcome.
